This page explains how to permanently delete your KerbNab account and the personal data associated with it. KerbNab is operated by Billy, an independent sole developer based in Australia. You can delete your account yourself inside the app at any time, or request deletion by email.
Deletion is permanent. Your account, profile, posts and photos cannot be recovered afterwards, and you won't be able to log back in. There is no undo.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app (instant)
- Open the KerbNab app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Review the list of what will be removed, then type DELETE to confirm.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm Delete forever.
Your account and data are deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app (for example, you no longer have the device), email us and we'll delete the account for you:
- Email kerbnab@gmail.com with the subject line "Account deletion request".
- Include the email address your KerbNab account is registered with (and your username, if you remember it). Where possible, send the request from that same email address so we can verify the account is yours.
We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying your request (usually much sooner).
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile — username, profile photo and email address
- Your posts and all photos you uploaded
- Your saved items and saved searches
- Your preferences, alerts and notification settings (including push notification tokens)
- Your "heading there" requests and item status signals
- Your sign-in account, so the account can no longer be accessed
What is retained, and for how long
| Data | What happens |

| Chat messages | Your message text is permanently erased and replaced with "[deleted]", shown as coming from an anonymous "Deleted user". This keeps the other person's side of the conversation readable, but none of your content or identity remains attached to it. |
| Safety reports | If content was reported to us for moderation (by you or about you), the report record is kept for safety and moderation purposes, but it is unlinked from your identity when your account is deleted. |
| Backups | Residual copies of deleted data may persist in routine encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being purged. |
| Legal requirements | We may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes, as described in our Privacy Policy. |
